Congress WBN (“we”, “us”) welcomes you to events.congresswbn.org (our “Website”), on which you can set up a Congress Global Profile account which enables you to register for Congress WBN events and receive relevant information about Congress WBN activities (the “CGP Service”). Anyone who is granted a Congress Global Profile account is a user of the CGP Service (“CGP Member”).
    2. In providing the CGP Service we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
    3. This page sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us when using the CGP Service and our Website. This privacy policy relates to CGP Members, and any other visitors to our Website. There are provisions in this Policy which relate specifically to personal data collected from or provided to us by CGP Members.
    4. Please read the Privacy Policy carefully before you start to use our Website to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. If you are a CGP Member, this includes information provided at the time of registering as a CGP Member and any information submitted by you or on your behalf to support any application (where necessary), and information used to build your Congress Global Profile account.
      2. If you are a CGP Member, information or materials that you upload or submit onto our Website to your Congress Global Profile account.
      3. If you contact us, a record of that correspondence.
      4. Details of any transactions you carry out through our Website or any other Congress WBN website in which you are logged-in using your Congress Global Profile account.
      5. Details of your visits to our Website including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access.
      6. Information received from third parties that we work closely with, including advertising networks, analytics providers and search information providers.
    2. If you register as a CGP Member, we will collect information that is mandatory for your profile creation including your name, e-mail address, date of birth and password. You may then choose whether to provide additional personal information to build up your Congress Global Profile account. Building up your Congress Global Profile account and profile will enable us to invite you to relevant events, process your event registration requests and provide tailored information and resources to you as part of your wider membership of Congress WBN.

  3. Sharing and disclosure of information
    1. We may disclose your personal information to third parties:
      1. If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply the terms of our Privacy Policy and other terms or agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CGP Members, Congress WBN or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection.
      2. Where they are assisting us in developing the Website or any services on it, including the CGP Service.
  4. Where we store your data
    1.       6. To communicate with you about any service offered on our Website or about other Congress WBN initiatives from time to time, including the CGP Service. Any notification will be clearly communicated on our Website, or sent to you by e-mail.
      7. To assess, analyse and compile it, alongside the information of other CGP Members, to produce anonymised lists, data and reports on trends, activity, interests and forecasts.

    We will hold your personal information as long as is reasonably required to provide you with any services or features of our Website, including the CGP Service if you are a CGP Member, or to comply with any legal obligation; or in order to enforce or apply the terms of our website terms and conditions, policies or guidelines; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CGP Members, Congress WBN, or others.     All registration fees for events on the Website are collected securely via the Stripe online payment platform and are subject to Stripe’s terms and conditions which may be accessed here: https://stripe.com/gb/privacy. When you input card data into this site, you are communicating directly with Stripe and Stripe passes your fees to Congress WBN. This means that your payment card information is handled by Stripe and not processed or held by Congress WBN. Congress WBN is not responsible for the performance or operation of the Stripe platform.
  11. Changes to our privacy policy
    We may revise these terms at any time by amending this page and, where appropriate, notify you of these changes by e-mail. You should check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes we have made, as they are binding on you.
  12. Closure and temporary deactivation of your account
    A breach of this Privacy Policy could lead to a temporary suspension or permanent closure of your Congress Global Profile account or any other such action as we deem appropriate.
